Review of The Salt of the Earth (2014) by Nick U — 15 Jul 2015
7/16/15 Vudu.
One again the power of documentary film making. A moving picture about a man who takes still pictures, a novel concept. Salgado captures the beauty, ugly, hopeful and distressing aspects of life around the globe. His black and white photos have even greater power than the color moving pictures. His pictures of the Brazilian gold mines, the world wide genocide, and the many varied and distinct cultures from Siberia to the Amazon rain forest are stunning.
