Review of The Saga of Gösta Berling (1924) by Alia P — 19 Jul 2007

I used to have a really crappy edited version of this movie and wondered what all the fuss was about. I still do actually, even though the film was very well made, the plot dragged and I had to watch it in three parts because I kept wanting to fall asleep.

Also Lars Hanson wears way too much makeup - it's kind of scary. It's worth seeing if you are a Greta Garbo fan. Although her character is fairly important, she isn't in the movie that often.

The new soundtrack was really good, especially the music playing during the fire scene.
