Review of The Saddest Music in the World (2003) by Edward J — 13 Dec 2007
Prepare yourself for Guy Maddin, an unique Canadian director who entertains the idea of taboo sexual acts. The story is very simple, about a music competition takes place in the prohibition era; held in Canada, the winner gets a lot of beer.
There is drama, comedy, strange lady who has an obsession with her beer filled glass legs (you heard me!). It took me a while to get into the film, but once I'm in I'm completely drawn into the plot line.
