This is the second movie i've seen of guy maddin's. "brand upon the brain!" completely blew my mind. this too is pretty incredible in most respects. isabella rossellini hobbling around in beer-filled glass legs is almost worth the price of admission.

i'd probably have given this 5 stars if I didn't find the music really tedious after a while. also, maria de medeiros = swoon.
