Review of The Sacrament (2014) by Daniel S — 18 Jun 2014
Im a big fan of Ti West, I really liked house of the devil and innkeepers, (tho not so much his segments of vhs and abcs of death) thankfully this is a return to his good stuff, its another slow burn that hes known for, except this time in the found footage format, it works in that its not real shaky and you dont get nauseous watching it, although it's very edited, and has cuts and even a score so it's not really "found footage" its definitely his biggest film in terms of cast and scope and violence/gore, it gets pretty horrific and disturbing at times, the acting is all right, nothing great but they get the job done, I will say there a few plot turns that were a bit too convenient, but overall another impressive notch in wests belt.
