Review of The Russians Are Coming! The Russians Are Coming! (1966) by Rebekah M — 23 Jan 2005
The Russians Are Coming! The Russians Are Coming! is a hilarious little comedy set in WWII America. It's about a Russian submarine which comes close to the shores of America...The Russians inside that submarine just wanted a close look at America, they had never seen it before. They're submarine ends up stuck and they have to go find a "but" (That's Boat in Russian....or...a Russian Accent I should say). Anyways they have to go land bound...They don't want to kill any Americans they just wanna get the sub moving and get out before they're captured.
So as they start walking around, people notice them one after the other. The Russians are trying to remain inconspicous so they do cut some people's phone lines...So one by one the entire town starts saying they've seen Russian Soldiers around...and as rumors get passed you know...a little adding of the story goes...So eventually they end up thinking The Russians have invaded when really there is only 7 of them...and they just wanna boat to move their flippin submarine.
Ah...anyway....it give's ya laughs...It's a good old movie.
8/10.
