Review of The Running Man (1987) by Butterz B — 06 Jan 2010

My oldest brother told me about this movie around 10 years ago, but he couldn't remember the name of it, he just said it had arnie in it and that it was a about a TV program where the contestants had to fight for survival. I was in JB-HIFI the other day and came accross this movie that I had seen on the movie channel for foxtel, but I didn't read what it was about, so I just gave it a miss. Anyway, I picked up this movie and read the back and I realised this was the movie I was told about. So I bought the 2 disc special edition ( the cover looked cooler :D ), and some other movies and went home.

Now i'll stop telling you my life story and get on with the review. My overall opinion would have to be that this is a movie for people that love arnie, love gory R-rated goodness, cheesy effects and catchphrases (including one arnie previously used in The Terminator, 'I'll be back'). The movie may be a bit corny, but if you are looking for a good time, look no further.
