The year is 2019. Framed for the killing of a mass of civilians, a man is on the run, but when he is captured he is forced to participate as a contestant on a wildly violent game show.
This is pretty typical stuff for Arnold Schwartzenegger. It offers fairly silly dialogue fused with effects-laden action sequences. Despite its futuristic placing, not much about feels very fresh.
One bright spot is the inclusion of real-life game show host Richard Dawson, who made a career on shows like "Family Feud" and "Match Game", as well the 1960's sitcom "Hogan's Heroes".
