Review of The Running Man (1987) by Nader H — 21 Jun 2012
Schwarzenegger 80s cheese? Yes.
Chalk full of one liners? Sure.
Is it still a fun ride? Hell yeah.
And it's message is just as relevant now as it was back in the 80s. Distraction through entertainment, manipulation through media propaganda/lies, brutal state actions against an unhappy populace, The Running Man is timeless in its themes on society.
