Review of The Rundown (2003) by Jay L — 30 Mar 2011
Director Peter Berg delivers a sensational action adventure film here, 100% pure entertainment. A blissful ride through the jungle thats packed with plenty of action and laughs for everyone. A damn good time at the movies, The Rundown is a big budget extravaganza that's enjoyable by all ages. It's Not quite Indiana Jones, but it's one of the better treasure hunting films that I've seen in quite awhile. It features a perfect blend of comedy and action, as well as some stunning special effects and astoundingly intense action sequences. A very well made film by Peter Berg and company that doesn't take itself too seriously.
The Rock stars alongside Seann William Scott, and both are hilarious as they have some great chemistry working off of each other. Well acted all the way around. Classic Christopher Walken makes some appearances, and he always has a way of making things more awesome than they already are. Rosario Dawson is great as well.
