Other than being an internet film buff's wet dream, The Rundown is an earnest throwback to an era in movies when even the worst of the lot still had some sort of redeeming quality. Thankfully, The Rundown is hardly the worst when it comes to action-adventure movies to begin with so the snappy dialogue just makes it worth so much more than to be written off as another "me-too" entry in quick-buck genre movie making.
Go see it if you have some leftover Spree or root beer in the fridge.
