Review of The Runaways (2010) by Tacie S — 04 Nov 2010
The movie was a little slow and boring, but nonetheless interesting, especially if you enjoy musical biopics. It's predominantly about Cherie Currie, and her struggle with fame, her dysfunctional family and drug abuse, but it also chronicles Joan Jett and her relationship with Currie.
The acting was very well-done--Kristin Stewart gave an excellent performance, as did Dakota Fanning. It felt like the movie ended rather abruptly, but maybe that was intentional.
