The Runaways was a great look at the early days of Joan Jett's and Cherie Currie's musical careers. Dakota Fanning was fantastic here. She has really moved past being the cute little girl into a fine female actress.
Kristen Stewart is also good here as are the supporting cast members as the other members of the band. Michael Shannon might have stolen the show for me though with his portrayal of Kim Fowley. He was just such a sleazeball.
This movie has a gritty look to it which I think added to the drama of the story. Lastly, fantastic music here. Check it out.
