Aimless, wandering, and a plodding 2 hours, this pic is rather dull. There are a few interesting moments/outbursts, but beyond that it feels empty. The acting is uniformly good, not great. Amber Heard is Wonderful eye-candy, but isn't given much to do or say.
A lack of drama or major obstacle is mostly absent. In short, it has the dialogue of Thompson, but lacks the soul and that proverbial punch that would accompany it.
