I thoroughly enjoyed and engrossed by this movie, Depp was terrific (I much prefer him in something like this than Captain Jack or equally as wacky). It helps if you know the novel from which it came, even if you don't but enjoy good story telling with great performances you can enjoy this movie.
Depp plays a journalist who has escaped NY to come and write for a small newspaper in Puerto Rico, but gets more than he bargained for when getting to know the rich big wigs around the island... worthy watching.
