Review of The Ruling Class (1972) by Bonnie F — 24 Jun 2011
Bizarre, dark, and humorous, three of my favoriite movie qualities! I've seen this several times before but do not tire of it. I'm glad it's now on Flixster. Peter O'toole is brilliant.
This is as close to a "musical" as I like. Some favorite lines; "Not here in the garden. Last time I was kissed in a garden it turned out rather awkward." "It's all right, they agreed to be cut.
" (When giving flowers to Lady Grace) "Into my galvanized pressure cooker." A favorite scene: When Jack and Lady Grace are courting and doing the bird mating dance. "Coo, coo." Hilarious!
