Review of The Rules of Attraction (2002) by Sandy J — 23 May 2008
A twistedly dark flick brought to us by the same mind who wrote American Psycho. The cast is great and it does a good job of keeping all the stories flowing evenly. The ending and basic premise is a little simple with the whole 'girl/guy likes guy/girl' plot, but unlike your cheesy rom-com, this one tackles the same subject and hits hard.
Cocaine, sluts, suicide, sex.. it's all here, and it's awesome. I found it really cool that Sean Bateman is actually Patrick Bateman's brother too.
