Review of The Rules of Attraction (2002) by Nette K — 22 Jul 2008
I liked the technique that was use to depict the triangle, and the dark humor. Van Der Beek's was surprisingly good, and rest of the cast unusual for that type of movie. I would like to read the book to compare, but how can one judge a movie vs a novel, especially an adaptation from B.
Easton Ellis. His stories and characters are complex, disturbing, such as American Psycho. They don't appeal to everybody, but I am not one of them. Good soundtrack btw.
