Huge Bret Easton Ellis fan here so I was worried it wouldn't live up to the book (it doesn't entirely). But as far as book-to-movie transformations go, this one came close to meeting them. The movie will never be as good as the book, but Avary takes a damn good stab at it and the result is a fantastic movie.
