Roger Avery filter's Requiem for A Dream through American Pie to give us America's Trainspotting. Nothing much really happens, but that, after all, is the point. A brutal and uncompromising portrayal of an alarmingly carefree generation.
And Van Der Beek is fantastic. Outstanding.
