Review of The Rules of Attraction (2002) by Sue B — 20 Dec 2010
Truly liking this film would be on par with liking a torture/horror film where the statement is merely: "the world is fucked up." There are half hearted attempts at redemption in "The Rules of Attraction," but they are all closely guarded within an overwhelmingly narcissistic and apathetic framework that one gets the impression is inescapable.
It's an interesting film in a purulent sense, but if that is all it gives us than two stars is all I can give it.
