The Ruins was a rather unique horror movie with plenty of gross scenes to make your stomach churn. The movie starts out normal enough with a group of american friends on a vacation in a foreign country and they decide to follow a random guy into the woods to do some sight seeing.
From the start I had a bad feeling because so many bad movies start out like this. When the bad stuff really got going it turned out to be something different and fun but not all that exciting. Most of the movie took place all in one area and the ending was pretty standard but I do give it to the writer for trying something a little different and providing some fun from this one.
