Really surprisingly good movie. Perhaps half of my enjoyment came from Jena Malone, who showed she can do more than the character she played in Saved!. While a horror film, The Ruins isn't really scary, but it is quite entertaining and goes some interesting directions which really work well.
The biggest flaw, I thought, was with the typical relational drama. I don't need girls thinking their boyfriends had sex with their best friend. Just unnecessary--and all too common in these teen-horror movies.
