Review of The Ruins (2008) by Brian S — 04 Aug 2017

The actor are all pretty good, and it's a very bloody movie which actually is capable of pumping a few scares here and there, despite it's B-movie premise, that ressembles a lot those of the 50's sci/horrors.

But yet, it's not a terrific movie, notably du to the fact that thefilm's killer are a bunch of plants, but also du to the fact that the screenplay is really cluncky, and, while the chracters aren't necesarilly badly written, I found some of them a bit silly.

Overall, The Ruins is just another cheesy horror flick out there, but if that's what you're looking for, you may be entertained by this one.
