Really, I was pleasantly surprised by The Ruins. It was a pretty fun, somewhat gory little horror. I just LOVE the setting and the evil plant theme. Acting was decent for the genre too! I'd happily watch this again, there needs to be more weird horrors in this part of the world.
Perhaps better if it had some more interesting characters, but isn't that the case with most horror, and who am I actually hoping for? Mr. fucking charisma with a freakin' pencil thin mustache and a penchant for gingerbread? Yup.
