Review of The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) by Dylan G — 17 Aug 2011
Child prodigies turned manic depressives with idiosyncrasies too strange to mention populate this dramedy, which I must say is the closest to being an actual "dramedy". Both the comedic and dramatic elements are so well weaved into each other that the film is never truly sad or truly oddball.
Wes Anderson's universe is populated with strange tales and even stranger characters. These are some of his best yet.
