Review of The Rover (2014) by Hugo G — 19 Jun 2014

I saw this movie without much previous knowledge, and it turned out much better than I expected. I was very surprised with the performances of Guy Pearce and specially with Robert Pattinson, because they both were excellent and probably delivered one of their best performances so far.

The story was very different to other movies I've seen of any genre, and the narrative was also very simple yet complex enough to maintain you entertain and involved with the characters. Overall it was a very intense film with some of the best performances of this year and also a very compelling and raw cinematography, and finally a very haunting and atmospheric soundtrack.
