Review of The Rover (2014) by Daniel S — 22 Jun 2014
I liked the directors first film, Animal Kingdom, and this seemed to have a good premise and I really like pearce, it really is a bleak film, with little to no hope or humanity in any of the characters, has some scenes of shocking violence, also features some great shots of the vast australian desert, and a very effective and offbeat musical score, while I havent been a fan of pattinson in the past, this is by far his best role to date, playing a man who seems simple, but there may be more to him than youd expect, and pearce is good in a pretty unlikable role, also has a really good ending.
