Review of The Rover (2014) by Kevin T — 26 Sep 2014
The Rover is a good film that the performances saved this film from being a boring film. The plot is too simple and is just a way to introduce the empty setting. It's about a guy getting his car back from a few people who stole it, one of their brothers got left behind, and he uses him to go tho the place where he needs to go to get his car back, that's it.
There was some parts where I was just bored of it, but like I said, it's the performances from Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson that makes this better than what it could've been. The plot is a bit something that can be from Taken, but people stealing something so that guy can get it back is the only thing that's similar to Taken.
The setting is interesting to see and it makes sense why some people would think of it as Mad Max. I was disappointed by this as it can be better, but I still thought it's a good movie.
