Review of The Room (2003) by Diego T — 10 Jan 2014
Sitting somewhere between painful porno and second-rate sitcom, Tommy Wiseau's hilariously misguided melodrama has to be seen to be believed. The characters change their minds and principles every 30 seconds, steamy sex scenes (occasionally starring rose petals) are recycled every 8-9 mins and nobody in the film, including eccentric writer/director/actor Wiseau seems to know what they're doing, what's going on or why.
If that's not enough for you, there's a tail-chasing love triangle plot, a double dose of direlogue and the acting so bad, it'll make your eyes bleed. This is without a doubt one of the most ridiculous movies ever made and, for that reason, it's absolutely magical from start to finish. A real must-see.
