Review of The Room (2003) by Roheeni Y — 10 Aug 2014
Sometimes a bad movie comes to you while flipping channels and suddenly you see a ghost shark popping out of a water cooler or you see Erick Strada uttering the words REMEMBER THE ALAMO while fighting Chupacabras.
But sometimes you have to take a journey towards a bad movie and man....The Room has bumped Manos The Hands Of Fate as my #1 favorite worst movie ever made. This movie was originally a drama directed produced and written by Tommy Wiseau and this thing is so poorly acted and directed.
..it is a thing of wonder to see a scene play out.....dialogue lines that go absolutely nowhere and critical plot points that get totally ignored ( at one point one of the characters reveals they have breast cancer.
...it gets ignored and not even acknowledge at all..and thats just one out of easily 100 different plot points that go nowhere) This movie has hands down the most weird sex scenes ever put on film, they last anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes and they take forever and are totally pointless.
I could go on and on about how many things are wrong with this movie from the incredibly bad line over dubbing to the fact that every character says " don't worry about it " to every other line said in this movie and by the time you see Tommy Wiseau scream YOU ARE TEARING ME APART LISA !!!! it feels like the crescendo of everything bad and wrong with this movie has reached its highest point.
If you love bad movies like I do I honestly recommend this. Be aware that this movie is truly horrible but it has to be seen once to appreciate how incredibly bad it is.
