Review of The Room (2003) by Jack S — 12 Feb 2016
I'm not going to be ironic, sarcastic, or lie here. I absolutely, god damn adore the room. It's a true work of beauty. Now, I can't get around this, Tommy Wiseau is horribly undereducated on how to craft a film.
And may that be a lesson to all aspiring filmmakers. You can not create a feature film entirely by yourself merely because you want to. You need to either make a film to appreciate yourself, or to learn to make movies others can enjoy with you.
From this misguided direction, the most sincere piece of art ever was born. Everything, from the mostly poor acting, uninteresting cinematography, and the overall bizarre nature of the film. It lets you know that you're getting full, uncensored Wiseau.
Direct from his brain to ours. Endlessly enjoyable, the perfect movie to watch with your friends. I love every second of it. From the hilarious quotes, to the misguided script, to the football, to the chickens.
I love it.
