Review of The Room (2003) by Jose C — 14 Oct 2017
This movie dares to ask the question, Why play football in tuxedos? It also touches on important issues like drug abuse and breast cancer in a way I haven't seen before. I can't help but think the impact of this masterpiece may have been stronger had auteur Tommy Wiseau gone with his original plan to be a vampire, but as it is, it's a very convincing portrayal of a man gone completely off the deep end.
Wonder how he got into character? Anyway, a perfect solid 5/5 for me, and that's only because I can't rank higher. (Also, look for pictures of spoons in the background. Some pretty subtle symbolism there you have to think really hard on to understand.
