Review of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) by Maddie M — 12 Jun 2015
This film is the definition of camp. it would probably rate pretty awful except for it's infinitely catchy, sometimes quite beautiful songs ("I'm going home" anyone?), and the amazing unforgettable performance of tim curry.
he is a joy from start to finish. as talented as he is, nothing he has ever done tops this (pennywise in "It" comes close though". he is mezmerising, managing to be at turns both charming, sexy, and a bit menacing.
he looks great in women's underwear too lol, and I give him tons of credit for being able to run in platform heels. it's his voice that sticks with you though, so rich and resonant. I could listen to him speak or sing forever.
he actually made 3 music albums in the 70's. check them out on youtube. he should have become as well known for his music as his acting. a truly multi talented man. this is his tour de force.
