Review of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) by Carla H — 04 Nov 2015
Its absurd, satirical nature besides the wacky charm of Tim Curry's Frank N Furter is what drives this film. While the storytelling is straightforward, the unconventional plot injected with the strangest flurry of cultural references makes this just a little less than a psychedelic ride.
It's the Alice in Wonderland for the curious folk - sexually curious, perhaps most of all - only made flashier with all that gothic burlesque and hipster sci-fi. It's just so mad, it's beautiful.
