Review of The Rock (1996) by Bugi P — 15 Mar 2010
From a series of films called the combination of Jerry Brucheimer and Michael Bay, probably this movie's most fantastic. Showing explosive story, played by top actors, and supported by a bombastic visual effects, so without hesitation, I declare that "The Rock" is the best pure action movies in the era of the 90s.
In addition, the introduction of the plot spelled out very well spoken for a sizes of action film, ranging from VX-gas theft by defectors Marines led by General Hummel (Harris), continues with the recruitment Stanley Goodspeed (Cage) to join the FBI anti-terror unit, up to parole John Mason (Connery) is told as the only person who managed to escape from Alcatraz prison.
And finally, when all the plots "introduction" is narrated in detail, this film does not need to think about the other basic, enough to brings action and suspense scenes until the end of the movie.
Yeah, I think, that's what makes this film fun to watch. Well, my favorite scene: "Welcome to The Rock ", and Hans Zimmer music score played .....!!!
