Review of The Rock (1996) by John W — 27 Mar 2011
This was a farily good action movie. Nicolas Cage did yet another good job with this as did Ed Harris and the late John Spencer. But you also have to feel sorry for Cage for having to put up with Sean Connery (though he's not terrible in this movie but he'll never take off the "James Bond" label that he brings with him).
What this movie also loses points in my personal Tomatometer is excessive rough language. The "F" word is used a lot (luckily for Nicolas Cage, he only used the "F" word once, but Connery used it quite a bit especially for a British guy). But overall a good movie.
