Review of The Rock (1996) by Adam B — 23 May 2011
I've said a LOT of bad things about Michael Bay, but to tell the truth, The Rock is one of the best action films I've ever seen. It provides all of the bad-ass glory that comes from Nichoas Cage and Sean Connery working together while still being an inventive adventure.
Everything is well shot and the action is non-stop, providing a 2 hour film that does not in any way feel dragged out. Unlike Michael Bay's other films, the humor is well-balanced and fits with the movie's theme.
You should totally rent this film or even buy it; it is 100% entertainment.
