A better than average Michael Bay film, but if we are being honest that doesn't say much. There is some good action, but overall the plot is thin and the characters aren't much beyond the two stars playing, essentially, themselves.
Cage and Connery aren't really known for playing characters beyond their schtick. Still the Rock is entertaining enough, its big and over the top and has enough to entertain the mainstream audience.
Just try to avoid thinking.
