Michael Bay's only good movie actually turned out to be one of the best action films of the 90's. Backed by the star power of Sean Connery, The Rock is a fast-paced, adrenaline rush of movie. Like its director, the film is unintelligent, but there are enough thrills, explosions, and gunfire to account for it.
Even the scenes where nothing is really going on manage to keep things exciting with intense, heart-pumping music and guys with intense expressions. It's a fun film, and keeps things fresh as it races its way toward a thrilling conclusion.
