Review of The Rock (1996) by Jay L — 02 Mar 2013
Along with 2007's Transformers, 1996's The Rock is Michael Bay's finest film. Unlike his later work (Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, Bad Boys II) The Rock is a well acted, directed and thrilling action film.
Michael has definitely crafted the second best film of his career with Thew Rock. Bad Boys wasn't too bad, but wasn't memorable. But with this film, he truly crafted an awesome action film that is one of my favorite films ever.
It took nearly a decade to top this awesome film, and Michael Bay did that with Transformer. Overall, The Rock is a terrific action packed film and is guaranteed to give you a good time.
