Its unaminous that The Rock is Michael Bay's best movie he's ever filmed. The Rock centers around Brigadier General Francis X. Hummel (Ed Harris), along his group of Force Recon Marines, steal 15 rockets armed with a deadly nerve agent, capture Alcatraz, and aim them to the San Francisco Bay area. Its up to former SAS operative John Msson (Sean Connery) and FBI Chemical Expert Stan Goodspeed (Nicolas Cage) to stop Gen. Hummel and the Force Recon Marines from launching the rockets inti SanFran. The premise is an exciting feature of the movie and gets you pumped from scene to scene (despite the subplot relating to John Mason being bland and forgettable), the acting in the movie ranges from great (especially Ed Harris, whom seems to be the most convincing of all of the characters) to forgettable (Vanessa Marcil as Goodspeed's fiancee). The script was overall pretty good thanks to Quentin Tarantino himself being one of the film's screenwrited (despite being un-credited), the score is incredibly intriguing thanks to co-composition by Hans Zimmer, and the action (which Michael Bay is known for) is fantastic, without the infamous abuse of special effects and CG. To summarize in the quotes of Sean Connery, this film went home and f***ed the prom queen. It's amazing for an action move.

BTW, did anyone else noticed Tuco and Jesus making an appearance in the movie? I didn't for sure.
