Review of The Rock (1996) by Critic M — 29 Sep 2014
It's easy to see why this has the reputation as being one of Michael Bay's best movies because it easily is. It's nonsensical and sometimes downright dumb, but it works and it's a ton of fun.
The Island is still my favorite Bay film, but this is a close 2nd. It's a shame that he makes so many films that are almost unwatchable because this shows that Bay can make a fun adult cartoon action film.
