The first movie filmed in Cinemascope! As it is, the spectacle and cinematography are the real stars of this film. The story is an interesting take on the Christ story, centering on one of his executioners who won Jesus' robe while gambling at the cross.
A fairly exciting piece of Hollywood gloss from the glory days of the widescreen epic.
