Review of The Roaring Twenties (1939) by Adam S — 16 Nov 2007
This is a real classic. Bogart and Cagney are great on screen together but all my praise goes to Cagney. Just because it was made in the late 30's does not mean that its trash, and I cant stand when people try to convince me otherwise. This is a real gangster film, and it set a template for every gangster film in history to follow. Some would say the writing is bland, but the fact is people talked like that way back then, maybe not so dramatic but you get the picture.
Its 70 years old and I still love watching it. 5/5.
