Review of The Road Within (2014) by Bill F — 05 Jan 2016
Coming from a person who suffers from a disorder and had a sibling with anorexia, I think any review that says this movie mocks mental illness is highly mistaken. This movie balances comedy with a sincere look into what it is like to try to overcome three different mental illnesses from firsthand perspectives.
It's upbeat and humorous but honest and real. Ultimately a satisfactory choice of movie on Netflix. However it does end rather abruptly, that is my only negative critique.
