Review of The Road to Guantanamo (2006) by Andrew P — 05 Jun 2007
This film is a dramatised documentary that tracks the sad path of four British citizens who travel to Afghanistan and are caputured by the Northern alliance and subsequently turned over to the Americans.
It's a stirring film with powerful interrogation scenes and intermittant first hand recounts from the victims that ultimately captivates its audience. It's this emotional connection that carries the film forward and provides a mechanism to shed much-needed light not only on American standards of military duty but more importantly on the very psyche of a septic leadership in the US.
A must for anyone remotely offended by the atrocities carried out by the American establishment under the guise of a war on terror.
