Review of The Road to Guantanamo (2006) by Eric T — 15 Aug 2007
Its interesting to hear the stories from the 'Tipton Three'. How much of it was exaggerated and how much actually happened I don't know. But the fact is they were held for years with no charges and no trial which is morally wrong.
The only evidence that was presented that they were terrorist was that they happened to be in Afghanistan at the time. Who knows how many innocent people are still being held. I think everyone should be forced to watch this just to show them what the 'War on Terror' is all about.
The whole movie reminded me of a quote by Ben Franklin (ironically a former US president) "Those who would give up a little freedom to gain a little security would deserve neither and will inevitably loose both.
".
