Habeas Corpus? Wasn't that the first step towards the establishment of a democracy? A fundamental concept? Leave it to the (ignorant, incompetent, disinterested) American masses to dismiss something so f*ucking crucial.
I feel bad for those guys, yes, but more so for those who are still in Gitmo, without any charges ever being pressed against them!
The only relief I can find, is the thought that if the Americans don't act soon enough, they will find themselves governed by a repressive government who slowly yet surely undermined its democratic institutions to ultimately establish a police state. ''Live free or die" was it? It's time to stop running your mouths...
