Review of The Road to El Dorado (2000) by Hayden M — 18 Dec 2009
Brimming with beautiful animation, lovable characters, and humor, The Road to El Dorado is a movie worth watching. Tulio and Miguel, the two main characters, are funny, interesting, and clever, and I found it hard not to like them. Other characters stood out as well, including the horse and the armadillo, who were both unexpectedly hilarious.
The story takes place many years ago in Spain, where Tulio and Miguel are hated by pretty much everyone. Being con-artists, they are sly and will go to any lengths to get gold and other valuable items. They score big time when they win a map to the lost City of Gold called El Dorado, and they set out immediately. Their journey takes them across dangerous seas, through the jungle, and eventually into El Dorado, where they are thought to be gods by the inhabitants of the city.
The Road to El Dorado is an enjoyable family movie, and hilarity awaits at every turn. I hope you found this movie as enjoyable as I did.
